Holding hands and walking in the rain – words collide

I try to let them out again – stuck inside

There’s too much meaning – for these words to convey

I try to write my feelings in the sand – by your side

Forming letters with my hands – until the tide

Comes and takes them – washing all my thoughts away

When I try - to say what I feel inside

I start but my words collide – they never get very far

I only hope you understand

Used to speak so freely all the time – then we met

Now it’s confusion in my mind – one regret

Is I can’t tell you how you make my whole world turn

Candlelight and soft romantic songs – let you know

What I’ve been feeling all along – love has grown
