Take Me There
Written by Michael S. Hysinger – michaelhysinger@yahoo.com
Leaves are falling from the trees outside - and the sky is turning gray
Now the candle’s burning low inside - you’re going on your way
I try to catch my balance as the colors disappear
The only one that’s left in me is blue
I thought we’d be together for the rest of all – the rest of all our years
If you must go away - Take me with you please
There’s so much I want to say - Call before you leave
Take me to that place - Take me there, take me there – with you
As I’m writing this to you dreaming - All my thoughts they go astray
Words cannot contain meaning - For the things I want to say
My pen is almost empty and the well is running dry
I’ll fill it with my tears next time I cry
And if you ever change your mind you know that I’ll be waiting here for you
If you must go away - Take me with you please
There’s so much I want to say - Call before you leave
Take me to that place - Take me there, take me there – with you
Be sure to wear your coat you know that winter’s almost here
Maybe I can see you in the spring
Send a note to say hello and tell me your OK - Wish you were here
If you must go away - Take me with you please
There’s so much I want to say - Call before you leave
Take me to that place - Take me there, take me there – with you
