I Want To Be A Rock Star
Copyright 2006 Michael S. Hysinger
Woke up at eight now I’m late – got to work for “the man”
I so don’t want to go ‘cause I know - that’s not who I am
I hear these voices in my head - and they said “You’re going to be the next rage”
Then the music starts to play and they say “Time to get on the stage”
Oh I want to be a Rock Star
Yeah I want to sing you my song
I walk in to work and the jerk - comes rights up to my chair
Says “You know you’re late again, now it’s ten – and what’s up with the hair?”
Then the voices start to talk – they say “walk” so put on my shades
And I get up and say “Mr. Gray, I’m like, out of this place”
‘Cause I want to be a Rock Star
I want to get up onto the stage – want to sing you my song
Oh I want to be a Rock Star
Come on everybody – I want you all to sing along
At first I started out singing in my car
I learned to scream and shout while I played my guitar
Now I want to be on stage with a rock and roll band
And let everybody know who I am
Oh I want to be a Rock Star
Yeah I want to sing you my…
How will I cope if I’m broke – Since I quit from “the man”
Guess it’s okay because Hey - I’ve got a rock and roll band
I hear these voices in my head – and they said “Do you know who you are?”
Then the music starts to play and they say “You’re a rock and roll star”
Oh I want to be a Rock Star
I want to get up onto the stage – want to sing you my song
Oh I want to be a Rock Star
Come on everybody - want you all to sing along
Everybody I want you all to sing along - everybody I want you all to sing along
I want to be a rock star
