The Passage
Written by Michael S. Hysinger michaelhysinger@yahoo.com
I heard the call I listened not The call grew louder til I stopped
And turned around to see you beckon me to follow you Ah Hu
You led me down a corridor a passage I had seen before
I thought that it would lead nowhere at first Im here then suddenly Im there
Beyond a door I saw the light It burned from somewhere out of sight
And though I couldnt find the source I knew it came from you Ah Hu
And as I stepped into the room I saw him dancing with the moon
A gentle smile upon his face as he stared into space Ya Hu
Silently the Dervish turned
Silently the candle burned
And as he turned my world around and no one noticed not a sound
Disturbed the silent music there that came from He knows where
I started here right in this place but soon I moved within the space
I found the steps I then retraced They led me back to here Now Im there
Silently the Dervish turns
Silently the candle burns
If you are you and I am me then who are they and where is he
Who comes before and after We are not supposed to know (unless we see)
I hold up time to candlelight - I note the end is not in sight
Then finally I get it right and then it disappears and time is gone
Silently the Dervish turns
Silently the candle burns
I heard the call I listened not The call grew louder til I stopped
And turned around to see you beckon me to follow you and I do
Now every passage that I see it holds a secret mystery
And even if it leads nowhere the Mystery is there and here with me
Silently...
