Never Goes To Church on Sunday/Song of Life
Copyright 2007 Michael S. Hysinger
She never goes to church on Sunday
The things they say just don’t feel right
The only thing that she calls evil – is when you run and hide from life
She thinks of hell as any subway stop
That’s past the destination of your dreams
And when the train rolls by and doesn’t stop - inside you scream
She doesn’t like to talk about those things
That make her feel unhappy inside
She’s walking along singing her song of life
She dreams of how she’s going to save the world
By feeding one soul at a time
She knows that happiness is up to her - and it starts in her mind
She takes her time and doesn’t fuss too much
Spending Sundays on her own
She talks to rocks and trees - living free the world’s her home
She doesn’t like to talk about those things
That make her feel unhappy inside
She’s walking along living her song of life
She finds everything she needs - Walking in the warm sunshine
Hearing what they call god inside her mind
(or “hearing god inside her heart and mind”)
She never goes to church on Sunday
The things they say just don’t feel right
She just keeps walking on living her song of life
