A Place Where Gravity Drops
Copyright 2007 Michael S. Hysinger
She seldom goes to work on Mondays
Just reads her books and lays in bed
She talks to god and waits for answers
She wants her dreams but gets a job instead
Some nights you can see her – reaching up to touch the stars
One day she’ll try – she thinks she can fly but not very far
She keeps pushing on and on
Down a road that never stops
‘Cause she’s looking to find a place where gravity drops
Her job is like an endless freeway
Where all she does is drive and drive
There’s no such thing as destination
Except the room in which she hides
Sometimes you can hear her – as she’s talking to her dreams
One day she’ll try – she knows she can fly but she needs bigger wings
She keeps pushing on and on
Down a road that never stops
‘Cause she’s looking to find a place where gravity drops
Why can’t gravity listen and release her for one day
Just enough to take her dreams and fly away
She keeps pushing on and on
Down a road that never stops
‘Cause she’s looking to find a place where gravity drops
