Every Time I Think Of You

Written by Michael S. Hysinger – michaelhysinger@yahoo.com

I still recall that evening - as a sad old song played on

Had the feeling you were never coming home

And when I finally heard the news - it came as no surprise

As the tears rolled down I felt so all alone

Every time I think of you - all the rain starts falling from the sky

Every time I think of you – Ah – I feel I’m going to die

Won’t you please - Tell me why

Why is life so unfair – It hurts me so

The years before I met you - were filled with loneliness

Nobody understood me until then

The first time that I saw you – it seemed we’d met before

But in this life we’ll never meet again

Every time I think of you - all the rain starts falling from the sky

Every time I think of you – Ah – I feel I’m going to die

Won’t you please - Tell me why

Why is life so unfair – It hurts me oh

The pain’s too much to bear – I can’t let go – Oh no

I see you now up in the sky – A shooting star

And when the sun goes down I cry for there you are

And though it was so long ago - it feels like yesterday

The warmth you gave has kept me through the years

You taught me how to look inside - and open up my heart

You teach me even now through all my tears

Every time I think of you - all the rain starts falling from the sky

Every time I think of you – Ah – I feel you there inside

Ah  - And as I cry - a strength comes from inside – through the pain

I long to see you there - Beyond the rain – Once again
