Time and time again I try to get away from here

It seems I always get pulled back again

Time and time again I try to move beyond the fear

I start to give up all my hope and then – I hear a voice say:

When life gets you down – Come on – Open up the door

When something’s going wrong – Come on – Try a little more

It’s so hard to be happy – It’s easy to be sad

It’s so hard to be happy – It’s easy to be sad

Easy to be sad - Easy to be sad

I rearrange my life to make more room for everything

At times it seems so hard to even breathe

I watch the seasons change from fall to winter into spring

And realize our breath is all we need – to live so

When life gets you down – Come on – Open up the door

When something’s going wrong – Come on – Try a little more

It’s so hard to be happy – It’s easy to be sad

It’s so hard to be happy – It’s easy to be sad

Easy to be sad - Easy to be sad

Look into your soul and find the place where you are free

Reach inside and feel the pain – Turn it into strength again
