I used to soar beneath the stars – fearing if I flew too far

I’d lose my way my wings would tire – I’d never come back home

Then one day my dreams were done

I flew too low and touched the sun

Burned my wings they came undone – I fell to earth below

Can you show me how to fly – and never fall again

I’m not even sure if I – know just who I really am

Can you teach me how to dream – tell me how to soar

Let me take these mended wings – further than I did before

Now I see it’s much more clear

Loneliness and all my fears

Were the ties that kept me here – beneath the closest star

No more fear and no more strings

I am part of everything

As I fly I start to sing and see just what we are

Can you show me how to fly – and never fall again

I’m discovering that I – know just who I really am
