Broken Pieces

And I think the sky is falling

Broken pieces in my mind

Dreams I’ve left behind are calling

Tangled hopes left to unwind

Taking the broken pieces

Fitting them back and then

Starting to live my life again

Clouds within my mind are clearing

Turning blue from cloudy gray

Letting go of things I’m fearing

Waking to a brand new day

Taking the broken pieces

Fitting them back and then

Starting to live my life again

Things don’t always quite go back the way we think

They sometimes to fit a different way

You may find pieces there that form the missing link

What you don’t use just throw away

It seems I’m in for perfect weather

Now that I have cleared my mind

All the pieces fit together

At least the ones that I could find

I’ve Taken the broken pieces

Fitting them back and then

Starting to live my life again
