A Little Magic

Young mister King - says he can’t believe in things he doesn’t see
The telephone rings – it’s a girl he met and thinks of endlessly
She’d like to meet for coffee, it’s just like in his dream
“Oh Yes” he screams - and starts to believe in a magic he can see
A little magic fills the air – it’s not so hard to find
A little magic everywhere – it starts within your mind
Create a new tomorrow– Come on, let’s learn to fly
It’s time to put a little magic in the world
Poor Mrs. Gray – doesn’t have a lot of friends she lives alone
Spending her days – pulling weeds in her front yard and growing old
Then a young man holds the door for her – and says a warm hello
He winks and smiles – she comes alive and suddenly she knows … that
A little magic fills the air – it’s not so hard to find
A little magic everywhere – it starts within your mind
Create a new tomorrow – Come on, let’s learn to fly
It’s time to put a little magic in the world
You have to believe in love and know that dreams come true
‘Cause all of the magic starts with you
If you can’t see the magic in the evening sky –
If the world has no color and your fountain is dry
If you feel like you’re spinning in a hurricane –
And you’re trying to get out but it’s pulling you back again
You keep going round and round in the air –
Trapped in a yesterday nobody’s there
Your life’s a disaster not a thing you can do -
Until you find the magic that’s waiting inside of you
Change what you’re thinking and plant a new seed -
Then you dance with the Universe but you take the lead
If you jump from a mountain up into your dream
Then you’ll find life is bigger than it ever seemed
A little magic fills the air – it’s not so hard to find
A little magic everywhere – it starts within your mind
Create a new tomorrow– Come on, let’s learn to fly
It’s time to put a little magic in the world
